The DVD includes a glossary of important terms in ÖGS and German, as well as a list of important addresses and
literature on the subject that can be downloaded.
The research project “Deaf Austrians in National Socialism” (May 2008 – April 2009) brought forth so far unknown historical facts about the harassed and discriminated Deaf minority in Austria. Verena Krausneker und Katharina Schalber produced a DVD that presents these facts and thus brings one aspect of Austrian Deaf history into focus.
The DVD has been sold out many times.
Therefore we decided to make the films available for online streaming.
